Jaws was made in 1975 and presents many stereotypical elements within the opening. The opening shows a lone young women (damsel in distress/victim) swimming alone. The setting is isolated as it is dark and she is alone. The opening is very stereotypical as it is unlikely that a woman would go swimming alone in the open water whilst its dark. The music starting at 00:10 hints the element of danger and threat.
