The Usual Suspects Opening

The Opening of the Thriller, The Usual Suspect, consists of a traditional opening where there is a killer but the audience is unaware. This is done through the camera angle by not seeing his face, but we are able to see his clothing etc. However, unlike some Thrillers, this masked criminal, doesn't speak, which creates more suspicion for the audience to be drawn into the audience. This characterisation and use of camera angle, makes this interesting and could be a good idea when making our thrillers in order to make it a success.
