Mallika Q4 - Who would be the audience for our product?

After carrying out audience research we decided that our media product would be aimed at people between the ages of 18-25. This would therefore give or film a certificate rating of 18. Our audience research showed that middle class people are more likely to go and watch our film but due to our film being independent we would be able to reach wider audiences. This age range are also more likely to identify with the films characters, due to their lifestyle and occupations. The violent, sexual and horrific scenes in the film would not be suitable for a younger audience and the opening being in black and white may be less engaging for them.
